This cute little hat and purse was worked from a crochet pattern from the 1950's.  I purchased the pattern from Mary Maxim; you can find it here -  http://www.marymaxim.com/curl-headband-purse-pattern.html . It's actually a headband rather than a hat and there are curls in the back to resemble a pony tail; sized to fit a toddler. I used RHSS yarn in Perfect Pink. The little purse is worked in the same stitch as the headband. 

What little girl wouldn't love this set to keep her warm on a cold winter's day?
